Here is the actual letter i just wrote... i hope i didn't forget anything. Possibly one of the MOST difficult things I've had to do in my life.. how do you describe yourself in a page???
What a nice letter John. Katie and I found it difficult to write the first letter back to our birth family too. Some things that kind of surprised me when reading the letter they wrote to us was that it seemed like they thought we were mad at them for giving us up for adoption. Also, they had no idea we were adopted by an American family. They had wanted us to be adopted by a Korean family and didn't find out until they started looking for us. I'm pretty sure you were probably adopted through Parson's right? I went to the Korean adoption agency website that Parsons worked with and they have programs setup for adoptees making the trip to Korea and reuniting with their birth family complete with translator. I'm not sure where your journey will take you but thought if might be something to think about.
I'm currently 26 and adopted from Korea when I was 5 months old. I'm looking to reconnect with my birth family.
This blog is for anyone searching for anything
